About The Course
Sidemount mounts your cylinders alongside your body rather than on your back — for streamlining, balance, easy valve access and genuine independent redundancy. Sidemount Diver trains that configuration to TDI’s standard.
It excels in wrecks, overhead environments and anywhere streamlining and access matter, and it can be trained as your primary platform or alongside backmount.
What You'll Learn
- Sidemount harness and cylinder rigging
- Trim, buoyancy and propulsion techniques in sidemount
- Gas management in independent cylinders
- Unclipping and re-attaching cylinders in the water
- Gas switches and carrying additional cylinders
- Lift-bag deployment and the START pre-dive check
Prerequisites
- Minimum age 18
- Open Water certification (SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent)
Minimums from the TDI Standards and Procedures (2026). Equivalent certifications from other agencies are accepted — we confirm yours with you before you book.

Course Price
Per diver, and your certification is included. Helium, equipment rental and boat fees are separate unless bundled into a package. Ahmed Gabr Signature is the same course, taught personally by Ahmed Gabr.
